A World - Class Destination
Israel is a prime venue for major international congresses. Every year dozens of such congresses bring together thousands of participants from Israel and abroad, including leading figures in medical and pharmaceutical field, technology, life-science industries and academia.
Discover Israel
Before, during and after the congress, participants and accompanying persons can enjoy a diverse choice of sightseeing tours and excursions specially tailored to highlight the magic and spectacle of Israel.
The land of Israel is comprised of a narrow strip of land situated in the Middle East. It borders on the North with Lebanon and Syria, on the East with Jordan, in the South with the Red Sea and Egypt (South West), and on the West with the Mediterranean Sea.
Israel being the size of Wales or New Jersey has a great variety of terrain and four climate zones.
The north of the country is the fertile hill region of Galilee, rising to Mount Hermon and Golan in the northeast.
The fertile Plain of Sharon runs along the coast while inland, parallel to the coast, there is a range of hills and uplands with relatively barren stony areas to the east. Southwards, the country stretches through the Negev Desert to Eilat, a resort town on the Red Sea. The Great Rift Valley begins beyond the sources of the River Jordan in the north and extends south through the Dead Sea (the lowest point in the world), into the Red Sea, continuing on into Eastern Africa.
Tel Aviv - A City That Never Sleeps
Tel-Aviv - majestic in beauty and rich in culture – has a unique history all of its own. In 2009 the city celebrated its 100th anniversary. Tel-Aviv proudly boasts museums, opera, theatre, music and dance, and fine cuisine. Experience Tel Aviv – a city that never sleeps is the heartbeat of the Mediterranean.
This exciting, vibrant city, situated on the Mediterranean coast, is Israel's largest city and biggest commercial center.
As an exciting and cosmopolitan mix of leisure activities, Tel Aviv offers something for everyone – to be fully enjoyed in its ideal Mediterranean climate: outdoor cafes, ethnic restaurants, historic sites, open oriental markets and of course, the Mediterranean coast and its golden beaches.
Tel Aviv was founded in 1909 and during was built on the sand dunes north of the ancient port city of Jaffa.
The name of Tel Aviv combines the ideas of antiquity ('Tel', an ancient site) and newness ('Aviv', springtime).
Tel Aviv is foremost a beach city but is also a busy metropolis with a lively combination of entertainment venues, shopping malls, exotic markets, gorgeous golden beaches and wonderful restaurants, inspiring its visitors with its unique energetic atmosphere of excitement and fun. The special blend of Mediterranean ambience, seaside resort
and modern facade is what makes the city so uniquely appealing. By contrast, the ancient port city of Jaffa is medieval in appearance.
