SOCIAL PROGRAM FOR CONGRESS PARTICIPANTS

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2010
19:30 Walk, Wine and Dine - Tel Aviv Tour (Optional – select 1 of the 2 options below)

Enjoy superb late-night dining and the imitable nightlife that has rendered Tel Aviv "the city that never sleeps". From the lavish dining rooms of the innumerable 5-star beachfront hotels, to local family-run restaurants and intimate bistros and cafes, an after dinner stroll in Tel Aviv brings the city's splendor to life. The evening commences with a selection of magical guided tours of your choice (see below – tours 1 - 2) all set in the heart of Tel Aviv, and concludes with dinner at the restaurant of your choice. Tour includes, Transportation, guided tour in English, dinner including soft drinks, glass of wine).

1 – Romantic Tel Aviv Tour (Option 1)
Take a step away from contemporary Tel Aviv and enjoy the city's enchanting history in picturesque Old Jaffa and Neve Tzedek. The tour embraces the charming archaeological sites of Old Jaffa, the ancient port city, and Neve Tzedek, the very first neighborhood in Tel Aviv. You will be enlightened by its faces, its many tales, and the nostalgia in its maze of homes and winding alleyways. Marvel at the view of Tel Aviv from the Crest Garden (Gan Hapisga), and walk in the footsteps of Napoleon who conquered the city in 1799 and set sail from the renowned Jaffa Port.

2 – Architecture in Tel Aviv - Bauhaus - The 'White City' Tour (Option 2)
In 2003, UNESCO proudly declared "The White City", the unique urban and historical fabric of Tel Aviv, as a World Cultural Heritage Site. The tour focuses on the modern architectural styles and techniques of the 1930's along the infamous Rothschild Boulevard. The 'White City' is truly the cornerstone of Tel Aviv, where every doorpost and terrace holds a wealth of history inside its glistening white frame. Savor the stories from beginning to end, and experience Tel Aviv's rich history and opulent present day splendor.

Join your colleagues for a lavish Gala dinner at the Congress hotel. Enjoy fine cuisine and a choice selection of special dishes in an elegant atmosphere. Uniquely designed for the congress, this gala evening includes a rich and varied menu served in high style - truly an evening to remember.
